Steve and Miranda
Wooden bathtubs. What an idea.
Organic, sustainable, beautiful, luxurious.
We started from boatbuilding. It’s not a great leap to realize that what keeps the water out can just as easily keep the water in.
We had just finished building a thirty two foot motor boat and seen her launched into the harbor on this tiny island that we call home, unbridged, six miles off the coast of Maine. Modern boatbuilding techniques means that every glued joint in our boat is stronger than the material itself so too in our bathtubs. Wooden bathtubs, what a very good idea.
We are woodworkers with a strong understanding of design needs.
We love our medium, we love a challenge.
We are Stephen and Miranda Batiste. With our team, we are Bath in Wood of Maine.
